Tracey Sernack-Chee Quee
Tracey Sernack‐Chee Quee is Acting Manager of Design Programs at the TAFE NSW – Business, Arts and Information Technology Curriculum Centre (BA&IT CC). Tracey is also a sessional Lecturer in Art and Design Education at the College of Fine Arts (COFA), University of NSW.

Tracey’s previous roles in TAFE NSW include working as a Business Development Consultant at Sydney Institute from 2002 to 2004; managing the Silicon Graphics Centre, a centre of excellence in 3D Animation and Visual Effects training at the Design Centre ‐ Enmore College from 1999 to 2002; and part time lecturing in Fashion and Design since 1992.

Tracey holds a Masters in Art and Design Education and a Bachelor of Art Education from COFA as well as a number of VET qualifications in design and training disciplines. Tracey was the recipient of the Award for Excellent Service to Public Education and Training 2004; TAFEPLUS Training Consultant of the Year 2004/2005, and joint winner TAFEPLUS Best Strategic Business Approach 2004/2005.

Tracey is represents the TAFE NSW – BA&IT CC in the Design Institute of Australia (DIA), and was recently elected a NSW Council member. She is also an individual member of the Fashion Group International of Sydney Inc, The Australian Network of Art and Technology (ANAT), the TAFE NSW Manager’s Association, the International Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and currently serves on the Board of the Sydney ACM Siggraph Professional Chapter as Treasurer, Membership Chair and Public Officer.

Tracey has more than 20 years industry experience as a design and production manager in the fashion industry, ten years experience educating in the field of digital media, and a total of 17 years experience as an educator and curriculum developer in TAFE NSW. She is passionate about creating and maintaining excellence in education and training for the design and digital media industries in Australia.
